NSCDC Kaduna Chapel Holds Prayer Session For International Civil Defence Day.

As part of activities marking the 2024 International Civil Defence Day Celebrations, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kaduna Chapel on Thursday, holds a prayer session for the successful event slated to take place on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Speaking during the prayer session, the Chaplain, Reverend David Yohanna who took his text from the book of 1Thessalonias 5 V6-19, enjoined all officers to celebrate and rejoice for being in the Corps because God had placed personnel where they supposed to be, adding that there is the need for personnels to always glorifying the name of the Lord.

Reverend David Yohanna who speaks on the topic, “Celebrating the Grace of God,” explained that in the past, so many people spoke negative things, even cursed NSCDC, but God in His wisdom, has decorated and blessed NSCDC to be recognized Internationally.

Reverend David Yohanna who advised all officers to rejoice and always be glad even at a time of difficult situation, noted that NSCDC is today an “Epitome of Envy,” because of God’s favour, adding that “as an NSCDC personnel, you can enter anywhere, because you are a blessing to Nigeria.”

According to him, “if you see yourself as a blessing to Nigeria, there is the need for you to always be happy, do your work diligently, speak positive about the Corps, be faithful and committed to your work. You don’t know when God will visit you. So, continue to do your job, obey the constituted authority and keep praying to God for favour. Avoid all manner of negative attitudes, and continue to think positively and God will bless you.”

Going down memory lane when King David was blessed in Egypt, Reverend David Yohanna noted that God can visit someone at any time, which means, we must be ready to do our work with diligently, be obedience and work in accordance with the rules and regulations guiding our day today operations and activities all the time

Reverend David warned that negative attitudes, unpleasant characters and lack of interest on the Job are some of the hindrances to unanswered prayers, just as he pleaded with personnel to always avoid any negative things that may hinder their prayers from being answered

In her remarks, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, CC Lucy Fakoya encourages officers to always be happy towards their job, adding that prosperity comes through happiness and diligent towards duty

CC Lucy Fakoya while thanking all personnel who have gathered to pray for the success of 2024 International Civil Defence Day and the passing out parade of recruits billed to hold on Friday March 1,2024 noted that time has come to remember the root of the Corps.

CC Lucy Fakoya who particularly appreciated the Chaplain, Reverend David Yohanna for his words of encouragement, noted that each time he preaches, ” his words of exhortations, encouragement makes her to think of few things, just as she prayed for more annointing.

CC Lucy Fakoya who gave a brief history of NSCDC, how it started, noted, that ” we want to remember our roots, which make us to remember NSCDC.

” NSCDC started from somewhere, some people died, some injured, some sold their properties for the actualization of NSCDC. in everything, there is a period of sacrifice. Today, NSCDC metamorphosed from a humble background to an international recognition.” CC Lucy Fakoya further said

The prayer session which lasted for an hour, has in attendance, Commandant Lucy Fakoya, Command’s 2/ic, DCC Kalu Ndukwe and other senior officers of the Corps, prayed extensively for the nation, president, CG, Commandant Lucy Fakoya and all personnel of the Corps.
