The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kaduna Command, on Monday, said it would deploy over 3000 personnel to various strategic places, in the 23 Local Goverment area of Kaduna state during the Christmas and new year celebrations
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSC Habeeb Badamasi in a press statement on Thursday, explained that the officers to be deployed would protect national assets during Christmas and New Year festivities.
According to him, they would also protect lives of all residents against criminals, terrorists’attack before, during and after the Christmas and new year celebrations.
According to him, the state Commandant of the NSCDC, Idris Yahaya Adah, who tasked the residents of the state to always report any suspicious criminals in their environment, further assured residents of the state of safety of their lives and properties as officers of the NSCDC in the state are always on ground to protect them
“The Command is calling on all residents of the state to complement our efforts by giving us useful information on persons, acts and incidence capable of thwarting peaceful Christmas and New Year celebrations.” He said
Commandant Adah further stated that ” as part of festive period, we have deployed 3000 personnel comprising officers and men in the state to checkmate criminal activities before, during and after the yuletide period.”
He further emphasized that the officers would be deployed to every nooks and cranny of the state, noting that the officers are instructed to cleanse criminals within and around Kaduna state during the period
“We will not relent on our effort to justify the confidence reposed in us in the protection of lives and properties, but we cannot achieve it alone, just as we needed public support so that together, we chase criminals out of Kaduna”
The statement urged law abiding residents to take advantage of the routine patrols which have increased with surveillance in this challenging period in order to rid suspected spots of criminal elements.
