In line with the cardinal objective and priority placed on welfare of officers by the Commandant General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Kaduna State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Idris Yahaya Adah has advised officers and men to join the NSCDC cooperative for their own benefits and their families
Commandant Adah, while speaking during the presentation of a cheque to ACG Modu Bunu (Rtd), following his retirement from active service, further commended the present Executive officers of the cooperative for their discipline, transparency, accountability and prudent management of resources.
He expressed confidence in the present Exco, headed by it’s President, ASC Sunday Haruna for maintain high level of financial discipline.
While thanking the leadership of the cooperative for ensuring quality leadership, he said “it is in line with the vision of the Audi-led administration of the NSCDC which insists on zero tolerance on corruption.”
He appreciated the ACG for strong belief in the cooperative which made him to contribute hugely for the success and benefits of others, just as he promised to emulate the retired ACG
He further reminded all officers to have at least little saving for the raining days by joining cooperative.
“do not eat your fruit with the seed,’ which implies do not eat your future by not saving for the rainy days.” He further said
In his contributions, President of the NSCDC Kaduna Cooperative and Investment Society, ASC Sunday Haruna, appreciated Bunu for his support by giving them direction on how to go for things that could be of immense benefits to officers and men when he served as State Commandant and Patron of the society.
According to him, while the beneficiary served as patron, he ensured that the Cooperative Society stood firm for the benefit of all members, adding that he encouraged so many Officers and men to join the Cooperative Society.
According to him, ACG Bunu remained the only State Commandant who was transferred after his promotion, but still maintained his membership with the Kaduna Cooperative Society
“today we are very proud of you and we want to make this presentation to you on behalf of all the esteemed Cooperative members of Kaduna State
“Inline with the provision of our Bye Law, each member of the Society has contributed #1000 making a total sum of #826,000 naira only to be presented to you as your retirement benefits from the Cooperative Society,” he said
Responding, ACG Bunu, expressed delight for being one of the beneficiaries as stipulated by the Bye Law and called on other members to ensure saving of five percent of their monthly earnings and have strong faith in the society,.
