Chief Edward Unekwuôjô Onoja, Deputy Governor of Kogi State penultimate week, celebrated 47 years of his birthday.
In appreciation to God for keeping him alive, and as part of his love for mankind, Chief Edward Onoja presented a well furnished apartment to the mother of late Doctor Victor Idowu Ahmed who died in 1918 after he was infested with Lasa fever.
A former Access and GTB banker, who later became a consultant in oil and gas (Taleveras) from a family of seven ventured into politics, not for his personal gain, but for the interest of less privilege and for the growth of the Kogi state.
Those who have mistaking his philanthropy gestures for political reasons, got him wrong, for while serving in his private capacity as consultant, in oil and gas, Chief Edward Unekwuôjô Onoja extended hands of favour to attract infrastructural developments from Ankpa, to Idah, Dekina, Omala, Ofu, Ibaji,Odolu, just as provided medical facilities across the 21 Local Governments in the State. This is even as he single handedly sponsored about seven students to a higher institutions. These seven have since graduated, married, and are doing well in their various field of endeavours.
@47, the Kogi born illustrious son who hailed from Odidoko Emônyôku in Ogugu District of Ôlamabôrô LGA of Kogi state, visited the palace of His Majesty Oba Solomon Owoniyi (Oweyomade 1)for a royal blessings. The royal father, later led him to lay stones of the house project he promised his Majesty.
Before his departure, he blessed the house of His Royal Majesty’s family with an undisclosed amount of money, just for upkeep.
As cheerful giver, Chief Edward Onoja in July, visited Gombe state. After attended the service held at UEC/ECWA, donated an undisclosed amount of money to churches, and payment of school fees of fatherless children.
Chief Edward Unekwuôjô Onoja, while celebrating his 46th birthday last year, instead of spending money in a flamboyant way, typical of Nigerian rich man, mobilized Christ like friends, visited 46 hospitals/clincs across the 21 LGA of the state, and parts of FCT to prayed for the sick, and donated money for their bills and drugs.
