150 Correctional Service Cadets Officers & Men Undergoing Capacity Training


150 Cadet Officers and men of Correctional Service are presently undergoing six months capacity and effective training.

The training which holds at Correctional Service training College, Barnawa aimed at enhancing their capacity with a view to promote effective and efficient service delivery.

.in a statement on Wednesday by the Correctional Service Public Relations Officer, DSC AD Wadai said, “the training, titled; 28th ASC Basic Course Batch-C, designed was expected to expose cadet officers to the rudiments, management and general administration of the Correctional Service, with much emphasis on Custodial and Non-custodial components of the service.

According to him, the training which has commenced on the 26th of July, 2021 and is expected to end on the 4th of February, 2022.

The statement further added that,I the course was inaugurated on 28th of July, 2021 with the climate Settings and hoisting of the Course flag, adding that, this was a ceremony ritually observed by the College at the beginning of every Course.

Addressing the cadets, during the Climate settings, the Commandant of the College, ACG Benson Abolade Victor applauded the Visionary and purposeful leadership of the Controller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, Haliru Nababa Mni for seeing the needs in the training of staff of the service.

He also, congratulated the Cadets for having the opportunity to serve their fatherland having been enlisted to the Nigerian Correctional Service.

He also, enjoins the cadets to adhere strictly to the rules of the College, by being disciplined toward making the service proud.

In another development, the Commandant played host to the Commandant, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command, CC GU Miebi, who was in his office to seek synergy with the Nigerian Correctional Service Staff College in capacity development.
