ollowing the reported cases of Kidnappings, killings of innocent farmers, a Non Governmental Of (NGO), CaRE- NGO in collaboration with Small Grant Program (SGP) is organising training program for unemployed youths, adults who are interested in learning fish farming, climate smart agriculture, home garding, Urban farming among many other social agricultural farming.
Fish farming in shape
Coordinator of the program, Professor Bala Dogo who was worried over the reported cases of Kidnappings, explained on Tuesday, that, if youths acquired skills in those farming activities, they can operate within their environment without going far into bushes to farm.

According to him, in this global age, it’s difficult to relied completely on white collar jobs, even as a graduate. It’s better to learn one skill or the other.
He said, if youths acquire skills in any of the farming activities, it would go along way in reducing the incident of Kidnapping.
Professor Bala, who later conducted participants round the factory where those animals are kept for rearing, noted that the aim of the program was to reduce unemployment and Kidnapping while going to far away bush to farm. It will also help to become self reliance.
Over 100 unemployed youths who attended the pilot training program expressed joy to CaRE NGO and Small Grant Program for providing them opportunity to learn skills that will assist them and their families.
According to a 28 years Jane Didam, ” I am happy for free fish, snail, farming training organised for us. The knowledge I acquired will enable me to set up business that will fetch me more money.”
Also speaking, in an interview, Joseph Auta said, if he learn snail farming, he would love to start on his own and forget about searching for Goverment jobs.
” I graduated from University since 2017. Since then, I have been searching for Goverment jobs, but all to no avail. With this free training, I will start my business.”
Community leader of Sabo, Mr. Gabriel M. Akuganai thanked CaRE NGO, SGP, who have found the community worthy, to train members of the community and it’s environs on this notable agricultural farming.
He also, appreciated God for Solar Power borehole, even as he appealed to the community to be law abiding, as they awaits lots of things to be benefited.
Training and retraining of interested participants continues so they could properly learn the skills they have interest. Foods, drinks were later distributed to participants who attended the training
