Governor Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai, of Kaduna State, has intensify effort towards ensuring permanent peace and security across the state.
The State Governor Malam Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai, stated this in Gora Gan, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Nasir Ahmed el-Rufai, visited the area to condole the relatives of two young ladies who lost their lives as a result of an attack by unknown gunmen in the area.
The Governor represented by the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home affairs, Samuel Aruwan has described the incident as unfortunate.
While commending the community for not taking the law into their hands, he said the security personals are working hard to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators.
In a remark, the District Head of Gora Gan Mr Alias Usman expressed appreciation for the visit to share the pains of the lost With the relatives of the victims.
He appealed to the state government to reopen the police office in the District as a step forward in improving the security activities in the area.
Meanwhile, a security stakeholders meeting was held in Zonkwa were the participants centred their discussion on ways of having permanent peace in the area.
The Governor has also held a meeting with a delegation from the National Defence Headquarters where they also discussed the security situation in the state.
The Governor also visited Zonkwa General Hospital to see the condition of some victims who sustained injuries and sympathized with them over the incident.
Financial assistant was also presented to the relatives and the victims to cushion their hardship.
