Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command, Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma has urged personnel of Makarfi Division in the state to consider the donation of a Hillux Patrol vehicle to them as a challenge to do more.
Dutsinma made the call at the State Command Headquarters on Thursday, while inspecting the vehicle which has been bought and donated to the Division by Makarfi Local Council Chairman, Engr Kabiru Muazu Mayare.
He described the support as timely even as some parts of the state are facing threats.
The Commandant stressed the need for intensified surveillance and routine patrol in the area to checkmate criminal activities.
Dustinma specifically tasked the Divisional Officer, DSC Lawal Kanya who brought the vehicle to him to use the vehicle for the purpose for which it was acquired.
The Commandant thanked the State government and local government councils for their various supports, and appreciated Makarfi Chairman for the donation, and readiness to ensure consistent maintenance.
He assured the command’s determination in addressing security threats in the state, and urged the leadership of other councils in the state to emulate Makarfi in supporting the corps within their domain for improved service.
