As part of it’s Corporate Social Respnsibiy, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), Kaduna State chapter on Wednesday donated Personal Prospective Equipment (PPE) to Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Command.


 The group applauded the role of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps towards reducing the spread of COVID-19.
Chairperson of the Society, Pharmacist Aisha Isyaku, gave the commendation while presenting hand sanitisers and face masks to the command.

Isyaku specifically noted the role of the corps in enforcing governments’ lockdown order which in her view is significantly responsible for relative low spread of the virus in the state.


She maintained that NSCDC with other agencies have played important role in the fight against the pandemic. 


Her words: “In view of the selfless services of NSCDC personnel in this trying period of the pandemic, we in PSN have decided to assist them with PPE that would assist in reducing their exposure to the virus. 


According to her,Zenith “‘the participation of the personnel in COVID-19 make them prone to infection, they need to be protected in order to prevent community spread.’


The chairperson called on all critical stakeholders including NSCDC to unite in the fight against the pandemic, if the fight is to succeed.


Responding, State Commandant Babangida Abdullahi Dutsinma, assured the PSN of the command’s determination and strategies in controlling the devastating effects of the virus.


Dutsinma thanked PSN for the support, and called on all citizens to obey governments’ directives, noting that such can lead to the actualization of total fight against the pandemic.
