Chairman, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kaduna branch, Barrister Sule Shuaibu has urged President Mohammed Buhari to focus on tackling the issue of insecurity bedeviled the nation without delay.
According to him, there are many challenges facing the country today, but as a matter of urgency, and top priority area, insecurity has become a matter of serious concern to all.
Barrister Sule while speaking with WORLDLINK NEWS in his Kaduna office, congratulated President Mohammed Buhari on the successful swearing in, for the second term of four years in office. He mentioned other challenges, as Education, Infrastructural development, Agriculture among others
His words, ” there are lots of things one will call on the president to focus on immediately. The issue of insecurity in the land should be on the front burner, and should be tacked immediately without delay.
” we also have challenges in Educational sector, youth unemployment, lack of Infrastructural development, Agriculture etc.”
According to him, if the president should be able to tackle these successfully, then, we should have a meaningful insight of what government is all about, as people will have relief from the present challenges bedeviled this country.
On the composition of new cabinet, the NBA chairman explained that for president Buhari to succeed in his second term of four years, ” I expect composition of cabinet to be broader, and focus more on professionalism.”
According to him, ” when I talk about professionalism, I meant putting politics aside, and bring people who are more competent, people who can do the job right. These are people I expect to form the next cabinet of President Buhari.
He condemned the usual practice of appointing minister based on state or geo-political zones as it wouldn’t help the country to grow.
